She is a Kenyan businesswoman, corporate executive, banker, and academician. Jennifer stands as the first female board member of the Nairobi Stock Exchange. Jennifer Riria was twice voted Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and a Ford Foundation “Champion of Democracy” and made it into Africa’s Most Powerful Women as listed by Forbes in 2020. Jennifer has a mall in Nakuru named after her.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and a Master of Arts degree in Education Administration from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. Riria also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Women’s Education and Development, from Kenyatta University.
