She is a lawyer and corporate executive. She is the managing director and CEO of the East African region’s largest electricity-producing company, KENGEN.
She started her career at KENGEN as a senior legal officer. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and was given the Order of the Grand Warrior of Kenya in 2010. In 2020, Miano was appointed to the World Bank Group Advisory Council on Gender and Development.
Miano has a law degree from the University of Nairobi and an advocate’s Training Programme from the Kenya School of Law. She also holds a Master of Laws in Comparative Law, awarded by the University of Australia.
