Africa’s largest Youth Leadership Forum, the YouLead Summit, is gearing up for its seventh annual gathering. This year, Nairobi, Kenya, will host the summit from November 20 to 24, 2023, echoing the theme “Youth Empowerment through Capacity Building: Revitalizing Youth Voice and Agency towards the Africa We Want.”
The 2023 summit promises to be a catalyst for change, bringing together National, Regional, and Continental-level Policymakers alongside dynamic youth leaders from diverse backgrounds. The focus is crystal clear: devising homegrown solutions to pressing development issues affecting the continent’s youth.
Under the esteemed co-conveners, former President of the Republic of Tanzania, Hon Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, and Hon. Dr. Peter Mathuki, the summit aligns with the African Union Agenda 2063 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, aiming to plug young people into emerging markets and opportunities.

The summit offers a variety of forums, including the Under 40 Political Leaders Forum, the Under 40 Business Leaders’ Forum, the Gender Equality Forum, the Nairobi Debates, and the Peace Forum.

Co-convened by the East Africa Community (EAC), MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation (MSTCDC), Danida Fellowship Centre (DFC), the East Africa Youth Ambassadors Platform, and other partners, the summit brings together a powerhouse of organizations committed to fostering youth leadership.
