Social Media Influencer of the Year

She is a complete definition of beating all odds, working on yourself, and overcoming obstacles. She has built an admirable career in music, Akothee was nominated as the best female music artist in East Africa in 2019.

She is also an author, entrepreneur: and CEO at Akothee Safaris. And top of it all, a mother of 5 lovely children, a family to envy because of how closely neat they are.

The celebrated musician and entrepreneur is known for her open charitable work through her franchise Akothee Foundation. Despite her musical success, she’s made the bulk of her fortune from other ventures such as Akothee Safaris and various brand influencer gigs. She has overcome hardships to be where she is as a single mother of 5. Esther Akoth is an enigma of brand influence. And she definitely keeps us entertained.

Human Rights and Social Justice

Njeri is the Founder Usikimye Foundation, a human rights and social justice organization.

Njeri, a GBV survivor, endured physical assault, heartaches, and injuries for 15 years before she got the courage to speak up against abuse.

She suffered partial hearing loss from physical abuse. The first incident of abuse was by a boyfriend who slapped her when she was only a teenager.

Following the patterns of abuse, Njeri was inspired to open up a safe haven for GBV survivors. Usikimye Foundation runs The Haven, a transitional safe house for survivors of SGBV. The Haven provides safe and secure short-term accommodation for women and children escaping from GBV.

She started by hosting 4 women, she then saw the need to expand the home to rescue more women, educate them, and empower them.
